Due to an exceptionally high number of employment-based immigrant visas available in the EB-1 and EB-2 categories during this fiscal year (October 2021 – September 2022), the USCIS urges eligible applicants (professionals with advanced degrees or with exceptional ability) to consider requesting a transfer of their pending adjustment of status application from EB-3 to the EB-1 or EB-2 categories.
